Bio: Daniel Ketter is a cellist, teacher, and music theorist interested in connecting new music with new audiences. As Co-Director of American Wild Ensemble and Cello Teaching Repertoire Consortium Daniel has commissioned and premiered over 40 new chamber works for grant-funded projects. He performs regularly as cellist of Opus 76 String Quartet, recognized as “Kansas City’s Premiere String Quartet,” currently Artists-in-Residence at the Midwest Trust Center. Since 2018 Daniel has served as faculty at Missouri State University, where he teaches courses in cello, chamber music, and music theory. His research interests include essential voices in Schenkerian theory and performance and analysis.
