Bio: An award winning composer, Craig Peaslee's music has a strong foundation in jazz and continually finds him searching for new ways to incorporate jazz elements into works for the concert stage. Coming to the contemporary composition scene as a jazz performer and arranger, Craig’s compositions from traditional, dissonant, genre-bending and works that directly confront present socio-political issues in order to bring attention to the challenges facing the world we live in, Craig is passionate about creating new music that is accessible while simultaneously sounding new and invigorating. Craig is currently pursuing a DMA in Composition at the University of Miami.
