Bio: Leah Amarosa is a PhD student in Music Theory at University of Oregon. They received their BA in Worship Arts from Asbury University and their MM in Music Theory from University of Cincinnati. Leah’s research explores form and voice in popular music genres such as hip-hop, pop, and Contemporary Worship Music (CWM). Her work has been presented at SMT, AMS, and is published in Intégral. Leah is also pursuing a specialization in Piano Pedagogy and teaches piano lessons at a local piano studio. Outside of music, Leah enjoys traveling and engaging in several outdoor sports.
