- Genres and Styles: All styles are welcome. We are particularly interested in music by women, people of color, working-class, LGBTQ+, AAPI folks, students, and artists who create hip hop, EDM, rock, and other popular genres or work in mediums such as film, television, and videogames.
- Theme music submissions should set the tone for a fun and educational music podcast centered on openness, creativity, and intellectual rigor.
- For reference, check out music from Season 3
- Original Works Only: Ensure recordings have no copyright restrictions or third-party claims.
- Multiple Submissions: You may submit one theme, or up to two bumpers, or both a theme and two bumpers.
Selected composers will receive credit for each episode in which their music is used through a shout-out and being named in show notes.
SMT-Pod cannot pay artists for their music at this time.
Please keep in mind that if your music is used in an episode, it may not always be presented in full.
